The Bubba Ball is a training aid that is ILLEGAL for game play. A legal hockey ball weighs between 156 and 163 grams. While maintaining the same diameter and circumference of a legal hockey ball, the Bubba is engineered to weigh in at 225 grams. The Bubba Ball is half white and half red. The distinctive coloring was selected to help make the Bubba Ball easy to spot if it gets mixed in with legal balls.
USING A BUBBA BALL
The Bubba will help players strengthen their hands, wrists, and lower arms while practicing fine-motor ball-handling skills. It is also useful for building strength and using developing skill while pushing and flicking.
DO NOT HIT A BUBBA BALL
Using the hitting action to play the Bubba Ball could damage your hockey stick. Only use dribbling, pushing, and flicking actions to move the Bubba.
BUBBA AND THE HAMMER – PERFECT TOGETHER
The Hockey Hammer™ is a field hockey stick designed with an illegal amount of extra weight in the head and toe. Like the Bubba, the Hammer is a training aid that is ILLEGAL for game play. It too helps players gain strength where it matters most while practicing fine-motor ball-handling skills – including pushing and flicking. Training with both a Bubba Ball and Hockey Hammer will help players develop faster than using the Bubba or Hammer alone. To purchase both at the same time, click here and save!
